The XXVI International Jazz Festival of San Javier will offer 17 concerts between June 28 and July 22. Adrian Cunningham and His Old School will open the program on Friday, June 28 and, the following day, Anna Luna will present 'Argentina kisses the Mediterranean' and Roberto Fonseca, 'La Gran Diversión'. The July concerts will start on the 3rd with the Bill Charlap Trio; On July 5 there will be the 'Homenaje a Bebo Valdés' with Roberto Carlos Valdés 'Cucurucho' and Javier Colina, with Alana Sinkëy as a special guest, and then Steffen Morrison will give a recital; and on Saturday the 6th it will be Gregory Porter's turn.
In the second week of July, on the 11th, Lee Ritenour & Dave Grusin, a pianist with seven Grammy Awards, performs, with Ivan Lins and Gregoire Maret, as guest artists; Caléxico is announced on the 12th; the double concert by Joan Mar Sauqué Quintet with Champian Fulton, and on July 13, Russell Malone and Cyrus Chesnut Quartet will perform at the Almansa Park Auditorium, accompanied by Ekep Nkwelle; On Sunday the 14th, Jazz San Javier will host Carole Alston.

In the second half of July, the festival will feature performances by the Steam Brass Band, on the 17th; Cimafunk, the 19th; and on Saturday the 20th the double bill formed by José Luis Jaén and 'San Javier a Paco de Lucía', a festival production with Niño Josele and Antonio Serrano. The festival will close its XXVI edition with a performance by one of the most charismatic voices on the jazz scene, pianist Diana Krall, on Monday, July 22.
The Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, Carmen Conesa, presented the news this Friday at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia together with the mayor of the municipality of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, and the director of the event, David Martínez, and expressed that “from the regional government we consider festivals a reference for culture, and so is the one in San Javier, due to the high quality of its programming.”
The Autonomous Community has supported the San Javier International Jazz Festival with an endowment of 180,000 euros as the 'Festivals of the Region of Murcia' brand.
