As varied as his time in the teams has been, his taste in cars has been. The Colombian ’10’ has stood out for driving luxury brands such as Audi, Mercedes, Bentley and Mclaren.
James Rodríguez learned to drive when he was only 13 years old. His first car seemed to be a premonition of his future, as he acquired a Peugeot 205, which cost $8,000 dollars, about 31 million pesos, when he went to Argentina on a trip with his father.
Some years later, the player arrived at Banfield, a team from that same country, where he was able to build a small fortune and start his car collection, there he bought a Chevrolet Vectra, manufactured by General Motors Brazil.

In 2010, James Rodríguez played for FC Porto, where he lasted 3 years and scored 30 goals. His fame only continued to climb when he was bought by AS Monaco with a transfer market value of €35 million euros, about $157 billion pesos.
By 2014, Rodríguez was playing for Real Madrid, with one of the most expensive transactions ever made to a Colombian player. In this club he was able to acquire different models of cars, not only for his salary, but also for the sponsorships of the Spanish team.
Because Audi is one of these, the athletes receive a vehicle from their brand every year. In 2016 he received a black Audi RS7 Sportback, while in 2019 he chose a white Audi Q8 50 TDI quattro tiptronic. He also got an Audi Q7, an A3 Sportback e-Tron and an R8.

Another of the luxurious machines owned by the player was a Lamborghini Gallardo, which can be purchased on the market from $181.2 billion pesos.
In 2016, the soccer player was sanctioned in Madrid when he fled from a police patrol at more than 200 km per hour. “Now I have stopped buying cars because I can’t drive them, I don’t have a license. They have taken it away from me in Spain because of speed”, James confessed in an interview with Daniel Habif.
It is said that due to this inconvenience he could have sold the Lamborghini Gallardo, which accelerates to more than 300 km per hour.
By 2020, and after having passed through Bayern Munich on loan and having left Real Madrid again, the ’10’ was playing for Everton FC, where he only lasted 26 games.
However, to enter this team, Rodríguez demanded that he be matched with a BMW M8, which is priced at around €195,000.just over $860 million pesos, with which he could move and with which he arrived on his first day of work in 2021.
