The Colombian was not summoned by coach Míchel.

James Rodriguez turns on the alarms again after confirming that he arrived in Greece with a physical discomfort, after acting with the Colombia selection in the friendlies of the Fifa date.

James returned to Greece to join the discipline of Olympiacos, his new team. However, the news is not good.

DT Michel revealed that the steering wheel arrived from the National Team with a problem and that it was going to be checked.

“James has come with a little problem after the selection,” the DT told Onda Cero.

Well, this Saturday, the club announced the squad list for Sunday’s game against Atromitos and James is the great absentee.

Although there is still no official statement on his condition, and the DT did not specify what the new steering wheel problem is, the Greek press is already giving details of what would have happened to him.

According to Greece’s Nova Sport newspaper, James arrived with a new calf problem.

“With a minor injury problem, James Rodriguez returned from his duties with the Colombian national team. In particular, the Olympiakos midfielder is dealing with calf discomfort,” the outlet said on Friday.

This Saturday, he added: “It is an inflammation that will affect Gámez’s training routine in the coming days, however, Olympiakos’ medical staff is not particularly concerned.”

“The new Piraeus coach is geared to rest the Olympiacos superstar and not put pressure on him ahead of the match with Atromitos at the ‘G. Karaiskakis’ for the 6th matchday of the Super League,” the report states.
