Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bolloré has decided to take matters into his own hands regarding the reputation of the brands he chairs, particularly when it comes to reliability. In recent years, unfortunately, for the group under the control of Tata there have been several problems including recalls, negative reviews from motorists and various slurs even from important magazines in the auto sector, in particular from those in English that have not done too many discounts.
Reliability is now one of Thierry Bolloré’s greatest, if not greatest, priorities. He confirmed this to Autocar, explaining how this part of his transformation plan of the “Reimagine” group goes precisely in the direction of a new ‘image’ to give to the world.
EU, reducing the cost of electric vehicles is a priority
“This is really the first point for our plan. Our results in the past have been unacceptable, but we know how to fix them. It’s not about science, it’s about hard work. Already in 2021 we saw better results, but we still have a lot to do. We now have a member of the board of directors, Nigel Blenkinsop, who is concerned with product quality and customer satisfaction throughout the value chain – it already makes a big difference. We are improving the processes to have better quality from the beginning, thanks to new tools and new digital campaigns“Said Bolloré.
Help could come from Jaguar, a company that will become one hundred percent electric: a possible protagonist in the future market as it is already able to exploit its ‘battery’ experience to anticipate trends.
