After his successful television series, Jackass made the leap to the big screen under the direction of Jeff Tremaine. The first film debuted in 2002 and its success spawned numerous sequels. Almost two decades later, the film saga is close to releasing its fourth installment with more follies and challenges that take the protagonists to the limit.
In full promotion of Jackass 4, Sean McInerney made headlines after an incident during Discovery’s so-called Shark Week, a special program featuring sharks. Unsurprisingly, he took stunts to a new level with the presence of animals, but the result nearly cost him his life.
Inspired by a scene from Happy Days, McInerney wanted to imitate Henry Winker’s Fonzie and jumped on top of sharks. Unexpectedly, he lost his balance, slipped on the ramp and fell right on top of the sharks. One of these bit his hand before the paramedics help him and apply a tourniquet to avoid greater evils.
The Jackass member assured that he was aware that a shark could bite him, although he did not think it would happen at that time. “I don’t blame the sharks for anything. He was in his living room and it was time for dinner. ” In this regard, his colleague Chris Pontius assured that it is a reminder that they are going very to the limit. “Either everything works out or this happens. Hopefully, everything is always fine, but not this time, “he added.
