The troops of military field doctors of the Central Military District treat not only the Russian military and members of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), but also provide comprehensive medical care to the civilian population. At the same time, civilian and military specialists are working together, Izvestia correspondent Alexander Morozov said on Thursday, June 30.
“Andrey, a fighter of the People’s Militia of the LPR, received a shrapnel wound in the head during the assault on Ukrainian positions. He was brought to this front-line hospital by military doctors of the Brave group, they also provided first aid, ”the journalist said.
According to the commander of the medical battalion, part of the personnel is working in the combat zone. The battalion is equipped with the necessary medical equipment, staffed by doctors and specialists of a narrow profile.
“This is what a military medic’s bag looks like: a tourniquet, anti-shock, painkillers, bandages. Everything you need to provide full-fledged medical care to the wounded on the battlefield, ”the Izvestia military commander showed.
A medical armored car drives into the hospital at speed. Military doctors immediately run to the car. It was reported on the radio that inside the car were LPR soldiers who came under fire. One of them has wounds on his hands, he is immediately taken to the operating room, where surgeons work.
The field hospital is equipped with all the necessary equipment: from a 3D ultrasound machine to a clinical laboratory. The medical special forces have equipped this hospital with the most modern equipment. The X-ray unit is especially welcome here.
“This simplifies a lot, because before, it took 15 minutes to develop the pictures, but now we can just connect via wi-fi, see that, let’s say, a fragment, right here,” shared X-ray laboratory assistant Ivan.
Previously, fighters with shrapnel wounds from a grenade launcher had to be sent from the front line to specialized military hospitals. Now help is on the spot.
“Surgical care in full, therapeutic care, neurological care, in case of pathology of the ENT organs, dental care is provided with elements of maxillofacial surgery. Experts in their fields do their best and even more,” added Alexey, a general practitioner.
On June 30, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation spoke about how military doctors of the Central Military District in the zone of the special military operation to protect the population of Donbass help around the clock and the military and civilians affected by the actions of the military formations of Ukraine.
On June 19, on the Day of the Medical Worker, the Ministry of Defense showed footage of the work of one of the field hospitals in the LPR. The doctors have all the necessary equipment to provide a full range of treatment. For evacuation to specialized medical institutions, Lens armored vehicles and Mi-8 helicopters are used.
Russia continues the special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24. A few days earlier, the situation in the region escalated significantly due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics announced the evacuation of residents to the Russian Federation, and also turned to Moscow for help. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
