Iv, Renzi € 19 thousand from Benettons. One year after the collapse of the Morandi
The case of the collapse of the Morandi bridge which cost the lives of 43 people and the revocation of the concession of Autostrade to the Benetton family, is enriched with new details. Gilberto Benetton’s funeral ends up in the sights, two months after the tragedy in Genoa. At the funeral mass – reads the Fatto Quotidiano – there was the leader of Italia Viva Matteo Renzi, outraged that no one from the government had taken part in the ceremony. The former premier expresses “esteem” for an entrepreneur who “with his brothers has created an extraordinary company” and “has given work to thousands of Italians”. Two and a half months had passed since the collapse – continues the Fact. The M5S, in government with the Lega, was clamoring for the revocation of the concession. The popularity of the Benettons was at an all-time low. In short, in such a difficult moment, the solidarity of the leader of Italia Viva must not have been unwelcome in Treviso.
Now it turns out that – as revealed by the Fact in recent days – a year later, in early December, Matteo Renzi spoke at a meeting on “Made in Italy excellence”, organized in Florence by 21 Investimenti Sgr, led by Alessandro Benetton. The 21 investments paid Renzi € 19,032, as compensation for his speech. Matteo Renzi was also very active in the game of revocation. On July 16, on the hypothesis of a public purchase led by CDP, he declared: “Private individuals will not be expelled but paid”. On January 10, 2021, the “Highways” issue appears in the “30 points” document with which Iv motivates the government crisis.
