With a view to strengthening cooperation, the parties promote technical assistance and training actions for law enforcement agencies and other competent administrations of third countries threatened by terrorism and affected by the expansion of transnational organized crime groups and related criminal activities and flows, as well as other serious and emerging forms of transnational crime.
Italy and France also intensify their cooperation in the field of civil protection and undertake to deepen cooperation between their respective judicial administrations with a view to facilitating the exchange of relevant information. “To this end, the Parties set up a forum for regular consultation between their Ministries of Justice to update themselves on issues of common interest in the criminal, civil, child protection, penitentiary or organization of justice sectors”, reads the text of the Quirinale Treaty.
