In order to best address its deconfinement, Italy encourages its population to be tested, from Sunday November 22. The objective is ambitious in a very short lab time; yet it is a success. “The inhabitants of the region responded overwhelmingly to the authorities’ call, reports journalist Alban Mikoczy, live from the Bolzano Sports Palace, in northern Italy. It is on a voluntary basis, but, already, we can say that at least 70% of the 500,000 inhabitants of the region will be tested in 48 hours “. It is thus a question of defining the policy relating to deconfinement in the region, from Monday 23 November.
“So far, in this room alone, 2,700 people have been tested and 35 cases have tested positive, which means a little over 1%”, continues the journalist. Positive people are immediately placed in confinement. “For all the others, that’s why not the proposal to be able to be deconfined fairly quickly, because that’s what the authorities want: to revive the economy by showing exactly who is positive and what is not”, concludes Alban Mikoczy.
