The award ceremony of the Italian Video Game Awards, held last night as the opening night of First Playable, saw the winners of the tenth edition of the award announced. The event, streamed on First Playable’s Twitch channel, was hosted this year by two international hosts: Elle Osili-Wood and Aoife Wilson. The winners were selected by a jury of experts and professionals from the international gaming industry composed of: Rami Ismail, independent developer and consultant; Hollie Bennett, Head of Influencers & Engagement at Frontier Developments; Jon Goddard, Senior Director of Corporate Brand & Communications at Lockwood Publishing; Richie Shoemaker, editor of MCV / DEVELOP; Sam Loveridge, GamesRadar’s Global Editor-in-chief; Vikki Blake, freelance journalist who collaborates with BBC, Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, MTV and PC Gamer. The prizes in the five competing categories were awarded this year to:
- Best Italian Game – Hot Wheels Unleashed by Milestone
- Best Innovation – Martha is Dead by LKA
- Best Italian Debut – Vesper by Cordens Interactive
- Outstanding Italian Company – Nacon Studio Milan
- Outstanding Individual Contribution – Ivan Venturi
