At the 64th Ferrari IN for Drudi, Middleton for Di Folco and Mann for Vilander. Daniel Zampieri is back on track in front of Drudi’s R8. Salaquarda is among the last to return, leaves the car to Daniel Mancinelli, Comandini IN for Spengler, Greco for Hoffer. Di Folco makes an immediate presence and signs the fastest lap in 1’49 ”001, ahead of Zampieri.
Perel tries on Hoffer at the first variant but the Austrian resists, Perel doesn’t give up and goes to the Canal. Drudi approaches Mancinelli and passes to the 74th. About thirty-eight minutes from the checkered flag, a light rain falls on the Brianza asphalt.
Drudi approaches Zampieri’s Ferrari during lap eighty-four, with Hoffer long in the first variant. Jaromir chooses the carved tires. Close fight between Drudi and Zampieri, the Audi driver passes but the Ferrari driver is in the wake on the straight but goes down to third place, while Mancinelli stops for the notched tires.
Spengler IN same thing for Rigon. Zampieri also returns for the notched tires. Di Folco IN for the Rain on lap 87. Fumanelli IN. Drudi continues and maintains the top of the standings, ahead of Di Folco, Mancinelli, Zampieri.
Vilander first of PRO-Am ahead of Perel and Di Amato, Magnoni leader in AM ahead of Jaromir. One minute from the end Zampieri reaches Mancinelli and tries to overtake and does it before the Roggia, returning to third position. It was a spectacular end to the season, with the rain having a hand.
Audi Sport Italia takes home the Endurance title after the Sprint one, completing a perfect season finale even if there could be a final round of the season with the 6h in Rome, now in its 30th Edition.
Drudi’s final stint with slicks on the wet track was spectacular. The Imperiale Racing crew tried it, hats off to all three, fast, constant and above all concrete. Di Folco-Amici-Middleton deserve another chance.
Gai-Zampieri also tried it with the Ferrari of Scuderia Baldini, concrete and fast as always Daniel Zampieri, even Stefano Gai constant and fast, despite not being in splendid form.
In PRO-Am there was a fight all the way and in the end it was Simon Mann who scored a double, obviously for him the 2022 season is on the horizon which will see him engaged in the WEC and the 24h of Le Mans.
