Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR: the forces of the People’s Militia entered Lisichansk and are now near the “Shakhtar”
The people’s militia of the LPR entered Lisichansk and are now located near the Shakhtar stadium – practically the center of the city. This was announced on Saturday, July 2, by Vitaly Kiselev, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR, reports TASS.
The agency also refers to the commandant’s office of Severodonetsk, where they talked about the imminent start of public order in Lisichansk. The Ukrainian city came under the complete control of the allied forces, the military department of the LPR confirmed.
Earlier, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, also said that units of the allied forces were in the center of Lisichansk. He said that the Akhmat units, together with the People’s Militia of the LPR, are cleaning the city from the Ukrainian military, “hiding in buildings, and from mines and explosive devices.”
On July 1, the Chechen leader also spoke about the importance of Lisichansk for Kyiv. As Kadyrov noted, the occupation of the city by Russian forces means the defeat of Ukraine.
On June 28, Andrey Marochko, an officer of the People’s Militia of the LPR, reported that 98 percent of the territory of the LPR had been taken under control. He then called Lisichansk “the last outpost” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On February 24, the start of a special operation in the Donbass was announced. Thus, Russia responded to requests for military assistance from the heads of the DPR and LPR.
