Israeli commandos disguised as doctors and civilians killed three men this Tuesday, January 30, in a hospital in the occupied West Bank, confirmed the country's Army led by Benjamin Netanyahu, after assuring that they were allegedly planning attacks against their country. The authorities of the medical center indicated that it was an “unprecedented” selective murder. Meanwhile, Hamas is evaluating a truce proposal in Gaza, ratified by the Islamist group and Qatar, which is mediating the negotiations with the Islamist movement and Israel.
CCTV images show members of Israeli troops, disguised as veiled women and medical workers, storming a hospital in Jenin, in the West Bank, killing three Palestinians, this Tuesday, January 30. A dramatic incursion that demonstrates the spillover of lethal violence in the occupied Palestinian Territories, while the war in Gaza continues.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health noted that Israeli forces opened fire inside the wards of the Ibn Sina hospital and the health center's spokesperson, Tawfiq al-Shobaki, assured that there was no exchange of fire.but only Israeli troops targeted people there.
“What happened is unprecedented (…) There has never been a murder inside a hospital. There were arrests and attacks, but not a murder,” stressed the hospital spokesperson.

Tawfiq al-Shobaki added that the Israelis attacked doctors, nurses and hospital security personnel during the raid.
The Army of the Jewish-majority State maintained that Palestinian militants were using that hospital to hide and alleged that one of the men targeted in the raid had transferred weapons and ammunition to others for a planned attack, allegedly inspired by the Hamas assault on southern Israel more than three months ago.
However, the military institution has not yet provided evidence to support these claims.
Hamas evaluates proposal for a new truce in the war in Gaza
The leader of the Islamist group, Ismail Haniyeh, pointed out this Tuesday, January 30, that the ceasefire offer was received by his movement after the talks in Parisin which senior officials from the CIA, the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, Egypt and Qatar participated.
Haniyeh added that he will visit Cairo, one of the governments negotiating between the parties, to evaluate the plan.
The offer seeks a new temporary cessation of hostilities between Hamas militants and the Israeli Army and the release of the hostages kidnapped on October 7 and remain in Gaza, when the war is almost four months old.
However, a day earlier, the Islamist movement assured that handing over the captives into its power would require a guaranteed end to the Israeli offensive in Gaza and the withdrawal of all “invasion forces.” Position that was reiterated by the leaders of the group after the meeting of the representatives of Israel with the mediators.
“The success of the Paris meeting depends on the Occupation (Israel) agreeing to end the comprehensive aggression against the Gaza Strip,” Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior Hamas official, told Reuters.
It is not yet clear whether after the eventual fulfillment of that condition, the movement that controls the Palestinian enclave would release all or some of the 132 detainees that Israel claims remain in Gaza territory.
However, Benjamin Netanyahu's government has made it clear that it will not give up on its goal of “eliminating” Hamas, so any agreement would be temporary. He has even indicated his intentions to maintain the presence of his troops for an “indefinite” time to guarantee the security of his country, something strongly rejected by Arab nations. The United States insists to its ally that there should not be a reoccupation of the Strip.
But a Palestinian official close to the mediation talks, who spoke on condition of anonymity to Reuters, said that for Hamas to sign a new truce agreement, Israel must agree to an end to its armed operation in Gaza and withdraw from there, even if the implementation of this route is not immediate.
If the proposal proceeds, it would be the second truce between the parties, after the one the enclave experienced last November for a month, when Hamas freed dozens of hostages and Israel granted freedom to dozens of women and minors. of old Palestinians, among the thousands it keeps in its prisons.
The truce proposal comes at a time when the deaths of Gazans continue to skyrocket and attacks by Israeli troops continue unabated. The number of fatalities increased to at least 26,751 in the enclave and the number of injured rises to 65,636The local Ministry of Health reported in the last few hours.
Guterres mediates to maintain donations to UNRWA
The Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, meets this Tuesday with representatives of the main donor countries of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), in an effort to maintain funds after the crisis unleashed by the alleged collaboration of UNRWA staff, in Gaza, for the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7.
UNRWA removed the 12 alleged suspects from their positions, while it carries out an investigation, which began following information provided by the Israeli authorities.
The UN is facing enormous pressure from the United States and other nations that have announced they are withdrawing funding from the humanitarian agency. A hard blow that only harms the Palestinians who need urgent help in the devastated Gaza territory, Guterres emphasizes.
Countries such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan are among those that announced the suspension of further funding for UNRWA.
“The Secretary-General is personally horrified by the accusations against UNRWA employees (…) But his message to donors, especially those who have suspended their contributions, is to at least ensure the continuity of UNRWA operations, since that we have tens of thousands of dedicated personnel working throughout the region,” stressed Guterres' spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, on the eve of the meeting in New York.
The UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees emphasizes that it acted quickly in response to the accusations.
