The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detailed this Thursday (10) that 12 of the people killed in an attack carried out this Wednesday (9) against a hospital in Jabalia, in the north of the Gaza Strip, in which at least 17 people died, they were terrorists from the Hamas and Islamic Jihad groups.
Through a statement, the IDF and Israel’s internal intelligence service explained that the attack targeted “an integrated command and control center in an area that previously served as a medical complex in Jabalia, in the Gaza Strip.”
The Hamas-controlled Gaza Civil Defense reported on Wednesday that at least 17 people were killed in Israeli shelling of the al-Jamin al-Sayed hospital in Jabalia in northern Gaza, an area that is currently under heavy military operation.
The attack also reportedly injured dozens of people, according to the same source.
In turn, the Israeli military note states that “large quantities of weapons” were stored there and that the terrorists’ “command and control center” in the hospital was used to launch attacks against Israeli troops and Israeli citizens.
Furthermore, the IDF identifies the 12 terrorists by name and surname and alleges that three of them were involved in the October 7, 2023 terrorist attack against Israel, which killed 1,200 people and triggered the current conflict.
The IDF claims that Hamas terrorists routinely use civilian infrastructure to try to deflect attacks. Israel says that Hamas and other terrorist groups operating in Gaza use the enclave’s civilians as human shields.
