Israel presented a new proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip to the mediation teams of Egypt, Qatar and the United States before the start of a renewed round of negotiations that will take place in Doha on Sunday, sources close to the talks informed EFE.
According to the informants, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, this plan – which has yet to be discussed and presented to the Islamist group Hamas – includes three phases and a possible permanent cessation of Israel’s military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
