Netanyahu adviser Gendelman: Israel opposes war in the Middle East
Advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Dmitry Gendelman said that the main condition for resolving the situation in the Middle East is to stop shelling the borders of the Jewish state. This is what he’s talking about told in an interview with Izvestia.
“Israel is not interested in war. “I also want to emphasize in this regard that all the peace treaties that have been signed in the Middle East since the formation of the State of Israel were initiated by our side,” Gendelman emphasized.
According to him, despite this, attempts to shell Israeli borders still continue. The adviser clarified that until they stop, “there can be no talk of any peaceful settlement.”
Earlier it became known that the United States made a proposal to Israel to provide compensation in the event of refusal to attack a number of targets on Iranian territory in response to the attack on the Jewish state. According to a senior Israeli official, the Jewish state is consulting with the United States, but reserves the right to decide how exactly to respond to aggression from Tehran.
