It was also confirmed that an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon hit kibbutz Yiron, in northern Israel, on Friday morning, killing a Thai worker and injuring another civilian.
Israel also intercepted two unmanned aerial vehicles that approached its territory but failed to cross, while around 25 projectiles launched from Lebanon were identified and raised alarms in the cities of Haifa and Krayot on Israel’s northern Mediterranean coast, some of which which were intercepted.
Also this Friday, the IDF confirmed the death of a leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, Muhammad Abdullah, in the West Bank.
The terrorist and another militia member were in the Nur Shams Palestinian refugee camp, which is located in Tulkarem province, in the northwestern region of the West Bank.
“In recent months, Abdullah was responsible for organizing terrorist activities in the area and was involved in numerous attacks,” Israeli forces said.
Abdullah was the successor to Muhammad Jabber, head of the terrorist network in Tulkarem who was killed by Israel on August 29.
