An Iraqi military source told AFP that the arrest was made in Turkey.

Iraq says he was imprisoned outside his country for being responsible for the financial affairs of the terrorist organization Isis Sami Jasim al-Jaburin. The matter was announced by the Iraqi authorities on Monday.

Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa al-Kadhemi told Twitter that the Iraqi security service arrested Jaburi “outside the borders of Iraq”. However, he did not say in which country the arrest took place.

An Iraqi military source told AFP that the arrest was made in Turkey.

Immediately it was not clear whether the Turkish authorities were involved in the incident, nor was the Turkish government reacting freshly.

The United States has promised a $ 5 million reward for capturing Jaburi. According to the United States, Jaburi has allegedly acted in charge of Isis’ economy by controlling its illegal sales of oil, gas, antiques and minerals.
