Raisi stressed that Tehran is actively seeking to lift the sanctions imposed on it in the Vienna talks, according to “Reuters”.
In the same context, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, said that the desire of the United States to reach a quick nuclear agreement indicates that it has no will to conclude a strong agreement.
“Iran’s nuclear talks are getting more complicated by the hour without the United States making a political decision,” he added on Twitter.
After eight rounds of talks, the main sticking points in the Iranian nuclear file remain Tehran’s demand for a US guarantee that no further sanctions or other punitive steps will be imposed in the future, and the method and timing of verifiable reinstatement of restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activity.
