The Royal Challengers Bangalore team led by Virat Kohli will play the Indian Premier League in the UAE, with ‘My Kovid Heroes’ written on the back of the players’ jersey in honor of the Corona heroes. RCB captain Virat Kohli said on Thursday at the launch of this jersey at a virtual press conference in the UAE, “For the first time as a team we got involved in such a fantastic campaign. It is dedicated to those Corona heroes who thought of themselves selflessly regardless of others. ”
He said, “This is a salute from him on our behalf.” It is a matter of pride for us to wear this jersey. We cannot even imagine the challenges he has faced. I have seen the original everyday workers in my housing society doing their work with full sincerity even in difficult circumstances for the last six to seven months, from which I have learned a lot. They had a choice, but they did not run away from work. ”

RCB chairman Sanjeev Churiwala said, “Players will wear this jersey during matches and practice throughout the tournament.” The jersey worn in the first match will be auctioned and the proceeds will be given to the Give India Foundation.
RCB has been running the hashtag My Covid Heroes and the hashtag Real Challengers on its social media handles for some time, showing stories of socializing heroes in the Corona era. Three of these Corona Nayaks were present on the occasion, including Simranjit Singh of Chandigarh who came forward to help the people despite being old.
Apart from these, Hetika Shah from Ahmedabad, who designed the Fours Shield for Corona warriors and Zeeshan Javed from Karnataka who distributed milk to daily wage laborers through Mission Milk.
