Apple has invented a technology that allows you to control your smartphone or watch by breathing. About it informs PhoneArena edition.
A patent application from an American company was discovered on website United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). It talks about a new way of interacting with gadgets through breathing. Apple engineers suggested blowing on the iPhone or Apple Watch to perform certain commands, such as accepting an incoming call or opening a message.
The patent specification states that “portable electronic devices often require a user’s primary hand to hold or carry a gadget, and a second hand to physically interact with another device.” Thus, Apple provides the ability to control device functions when both hands are busy.
“No consumer wants the user experience to be diminished by their inability to interact with their watch or phone with busy hands,” the journalists noted. The patent was registered with the USPTO on March 30, 2020, but it has only been published now. The authors believe that the appearance of the described function in new devices is unlikely in the near future.
In early August, journalists drew attention to a patent from Apple, which describes the function of self-diagnosis of damage on the iPhone. In particular, the device will analyze the integrity of the smartphone display and notify the user of violations.
