Saratov investigators opened a criminal case into the death of a 12-year-old boy as a result of falling ice, reports website RF IC for the region.
It is specified that the case was opened under the article “Causing death by negligence.” According to the investigation, on the afternoon of January 23, a block of ice fell on a 12-year-old boy who was near house 33 on Azin Street in the city of Saratov, causing him a head injury, from which he died on the spot.
“At present, the investigators of the Investigative Committee are conducting investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances,” the ministry said in a statement and emphasizes that its employees will give a legal assessment of the actions of persons who were required to clean the surfaces of a residential building from snow and ice.
Earlier it was reported that the RF IC in the Saratov region began checking after the death of a student. We will remind, in January in Japan at least 60 people were killed when clearing houses littered with snow. They fell from the rooftops, trying to clear them of snow, or died under snow blockages.
