“I would like to reassure all our fans, and clearly ourselves, as the magistrates declared we are the injured party, so we have nothing to fear.” Beppe Marotta, president of Inter, responded like this to Sky before the Champions League match against Red Star, speaking about the investigation that led to the arrests of some Inter and Milan ultras. From the documents, one of the ultras intercepted refers to contacts with Javier Zanetti.
“At the same time we have guaranteed maximum collaboration with the judiciary and we are clearly at our complete disposal, we were before and we are even more so today, through our lawyers we will always be present. I must say that Inter, above all, has a structure, a management security, entrusted to a former public order official, who applies very rigid protocols, very stringent regulations, but there are often phenomena that are outside the institutional and corporate perimeter”, adds Marotta.
“We are all men of experience and those who have less must find points of reference in us, knowing that Inter is a club of integrity, which acts in a very transparent way and these are the prerequisites for fearing nothing and concentrating from tonight on this match, trusting that the judiciary and the police can eventually manage to remove this phenomenon of crime from the stadium”, he concludes.
