The group will find itself complete, but the first training session will have to slip due to the health protocol. Inzaghi embraces Correa, who aims to be there on January 6 against Bologna
Holidays ended at the Nerazzurri. After eight days of relaxation to recharge their batteries, Inzaghi’s troops are preparing to return to Appiano: an appointment for tomorrow morning, when work will restart for Inter in view of the resumption of the championship against Bologna (on 6 January) and two weeks of fire that will follow between Lazio, Juventus (in the Super Cup) and Atalanta. The good news is that the Nerazzurri coach will find everyone skilled and enlisted, including that Correa forced to close 2021 early due to a muscle problem. In all likelihood, before planning the resumption of group training, it will still be necessary to wait for the results of the tampons to which some players will have to undergo, as required by the health protocol.
Extra man

The Tucu left behind the muscular distraction in the left thigh flexors suffered on 6 December and took advantage of the Christmas break to accelerate his athletic recovery. He scrupulously followed the personalized training program given to him before his departure for Argentina, because the goal was (and remains) to be available for the first engagement of the year. Given the schedule that awaits the Nerazzurri, the return of Tucu is all the more necessary to allow Inzaghi to measure out the energies of the offensive department. Beyond Correa, who in any case will need some training to regain optimal rhythm and condition after a month off, Inzaghi will re-embrace a group certainly regenerated from the holidays. There are those who have pulled the plug in the Dubai sun, such as De Vrij, Calhanoglu, Lautaro and Dimarco, and there are those who have preferred to gather with family members in less exotic places. But everyone made a commitment to do the so-called homework. In fact, relaxation is not synonymous with idleness, because January is just around the corner and we immediately play a lot. So Inzaghi and his trainers have prepared personalized programs for each player, with specific diets and exercises.
The program

The appointment is for everyone in Appiano, without exception, but the field work will have to wait. Blame the health protocol that requires the implementation of anti-Covid tests, which will presumably postpone the first training in the group by one or two days. This, at least, suggests the logic in the absence of further specifics from the viale della Liberazione club. In the meantime, players will still resume training individually. The plan at the Nerazzurri is to be able to greet the new year on the pitch all together, to immediately start preparing a crucial tour de force at the top of the standings.
