Mexico City- Amid the rise of video game streamers or content creators on video platforms worldwide, Xbox announced the integration of Twitch to facilitate live broadcasts from consoles.
Starting today, both companies are teaming up to make streaming from Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One consoles faster.
“We’ve heard your feedback and we’re very excited to bring back this fan-favorite feature, redesigned and better than ever,” the company said on the Xbox Wire site.
In 2014, Twitch came to Xbox One and you could stick to the Snap bar as a shortcut to start a stream, however years later this integration was removed along with the panel.
How does it work? From your Xbox console go to the “Capture and Share” tab in the guide and select “Live Stream”.
Then you must link your Twitch account by scanning the QR code with an iOS or Android mobile device or through a link with your PC or cell phone.
Once your account is linked, select the ‘Live Stream Now’ button to instantly start live streaming games that are downloaded to your console.
Xbox announced that console streams will have headset and webcam support, as well as various settings to modulate stream quality and microphone and game audio levels.
In the event the streamer changes games, a pause screen will be displayed and will automatically update when the game is restarted.
Finally, Xbox gamers who follow creators will be able to activate their notifications that will alert them when there is a new live video.
