Guamúchil, Sinaloa.- On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the municipalization of Salvador Alvaradothe Municipal Institute of Culture gave has released a series of activities artistic and cultural events that will be taking place, both in the city of Guamúchil and in communities, informed the Director of Culture, Rómel Omar Báez Lugo.
The official reported that a conference on the history of the municipality is scheduled for February 8, which will be aimed especially at young people, “so they know how the municipality of Salvador Alvarado was created, what is behind all this social movement and this fight that there was”.
On February 10 there will be the presentation of the monologue ‘Marx in Soho’, by the group TATUAS; while on the 11th the company Danza Joven de Sinaloa will be presenting the show Inalienable; and on February 15, the conference ‘Life and work of Salvador Alvarado’ will be held, and that same day the play ‘Corazónes rotos’ will be presented, a youth comedy to reflect on love and heartbreak.

“That same day the 15th, already at night, we will have a concert where we will be giving the opportunity to recognize the voices of our land, all those voices that we have had in different shows, events, traditional activities,” he explained.
On February 16 there will be a sample of musical cinema, in order to offer young people this genre of cinema that is not very promoted despite being very interesting, said Romel Báez, since it fuses theater, music and dance, “is a little explored genre and we are going to have it all day”.
On February 18, the group TATUAS will perform again with the show ‘Corazón desazon’, with which they have already been on tour for a long time. Later, on the 19th, there will be a pictorial exhibition where the trajectory and social work carried out by the painter María Elena Miguel Chávez will be recognized, “she does not make it public, but she goes to the homes to give classes without any profit, to see people with disabilities, who cannot be here with us, and with their resources they have gone to communities to give workshops for children, youth, adults”.
Continuing with the program, there will be a presentation by the dance group Star Dance, with a world dance show, and on the 23rd there will be an interactive talk called ‘Pedor Infante lives’, because being an icon of Guamúchil, this character cannot be missing from the town’s festivities as he is the one who put him on the map, and that same day, in the Villa Benito Juárez square, there will be an interactive family show called ‘El show de Gero’, “it is a musical show , of challenges, contests, it involves children, it involves families, but the most important thing is that Gero, this artist, promotes a lot the theme of family values”.
Also, on February 26, the staging of the play ‘A dead man at the funeral’ is scheduled, a black comedy by the Ataes Group, which premiered before the pandemic began and was very successful.
Finally, on February 27, which is the anniversary day, there will be an event that will be reported later.

It is worth mentioning that Rómel Báez pointed out that all the events are free and they will be working in close coordination with Civil Protection to take care of all the details of the health measures.
