The Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority and Sand Facilities Management Company announced the installation and registration of 6,940 safety devices during the first half of 2021, a device that connects the fire systems in the facilities to the Operations Room of the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the Sand Operations Room to reduce response time to deal with fires.
Sheikh Eng. Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority in Sharjah, stressed that the safety device greatly contributes to protecting lives from the dangers of fires, and called on the owners of real estate and facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah to speed up registration in the system because of its many benefits to residents and property alike.

Engineer Sultan Al Ketbi, CEO of Sand Facilities Management Company, said: “6940 safety devices were installed and registered in various regions of Sharjah, during the first half of this year, in partnership, cooperation and coordination with the Prevention and Safety Authority and the Civil Defense Department, in accordance with the team’s agenda and plan to cover all Establishments, residential, commercial and industrial areas, and the installation of “safety” is mandatory for all facilities in the emirate, in application of the highest levels of prevention and safety.
Al Ketbi indicated that the goal is to reach 100% compliance of the owners and investors of real estate, facilities and facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah, to which the decision to install and connect a safety system to protect buildings from fire and accidents applies at the end of this year.
He pointed out that such a task falls within SANED’s mandate, which includes integrated facilities management, public and private facilities care services, technical project management in construction, and areas related to health, safety and environment, such as fire prevention strategies, environmental health and safety inspection and training, and security systems integration. .
In addition, (Aman) is the system approved in the Emirate of Sharjah, in accordance with Executive Council Resolution No. (20) of 2019, where the decision requires industrial and commercial establishments and residential buildings to install a security system to protect community members from fire hazards around the clock, within an alarm system that alerts in case Fire and emergency cases, and the system is connected to the operations room of the Civil Defense Department in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The system is linked to a control room of the highest international standards and standards in the Operations and Customer Happiness Center at SANED, in cooperation with the “Prevention and Safety Authority” to translate the strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah related to strengthening the pillars of security and safety, and spreading awareness about the best ways to prevent accidents and fires, in order to reach a community Risk free.
The cost of installing a safety device is 4200 dirhams, which is the electronic linkage of alarms with the operations room of the General Directorate of Civil Defense and the safety operations room of Sand Company, the project’s executive arm, which operates around the clock, seven days a week.
