Anyone who previously worked with a formal contract under the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT) and later became an Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI), can add the contribution time to the National Social Security Institute (INSS) as CLT to request retirement. In both cases, the worker contributes to the INSS, but the rules are different.
In the case of MEIs, retirement is granted only by the minimum age, 62 years old for women and 65 years old for men. For retirement as MEI after CLT, it is necessary to complement the monthly rate of 5% of the minimum wage with an additional 15%.
+ Government will anticipate thirteenth of INSS retirees and pensioners
The 5% fee is mandatory for all MEIs, according to the g1, and payment is made through the Simples Nacional Collection Document (DAS-MEI) tab. This year, with the minimum wage of R$ 1,212.00, the rate is R$ 60.60.
