The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) must pay R$ 792 million to retirees who won small claims in court. The so-called Small Value Requisitions (RVP) pay up to 60 minimum wages, the equivalent of R$ 72,000 this year and refer to grants or revisions of retirement, sickness benefits, death pensions and other benefits.
Payments will be released, little by little, later this month, to policyholders who have received clearance from the Federal Justice Council. These proceedings were finalized by the Judiciary with a payment order granted by the judge in January.
+ Retirees and pensioners will be able to recover forgotten money
According to data from the Council, 56,674 INSS policyholders will receive RPVs by the end of this month. In total, 43,343 cases were won in court.
How do I find out if my RVP has been released?
To check if your money is released, it is necessary to access the website of the Federal Regional Court (TRF) responsible for the process. On the correct website, you need to search for “Procedural Consultation”, include the “process number” and select the option “payment requests”.
Then, click on “Consultations by OAB, Process of origin, Requisitioning Office of origin or Protocol number”, inform your CPF, OAB record of the responsible lawyer, the case number and click on “I am not a robot” and “ to look for”.
