They were only married three years until their divorce in 2009, but the singer Innocence – whose real name is Geraldine Larrosa – continued to maintain an excellent relationship with Carlos Marín, the recently deceased singer of Il Divo. So much so that he was even the godfather of the artist’s daughter with his later partner, actor Sergio Arce. Now, as proof of that affection and admiration that they continued to profess even though they were separated, Innocence wanted to say goodbye to the singer, who died on December 19 at the age of 53. “I want everyone to know (most of them do, but I repeat it again) that Carlos Marín has been and will always be the great love of my life. He is the best person in the world, the most generous. We were going to repeat this moment! ”, Larrosa wrote this Wednesday, in an Instagram post in which the then couple can be seen on their wedding day (which they celebrated at Disneyland by surprise for her and after 13 years of courtship), singing in duet and in family snapshots.
Innocence, who in addition to having released four solo albums has participated in numerous musicals in Spain such as Beauty and the Beast, has been one of the people who accompanied Marín during his convalescence in a hospital in Manchester (United Kingdom), where he was admitted on December 8 when he was suddenly ill. There he remained in the ICU, in a state of induced coma until Sunday, when his death was reported, although for now neither the family nor the representatives of the group nor the hospital center have confirmed the cause of death.
The artist, who met Marín in the musical of The Miserables, He wanted to thank the respect for his silence, which for now has only broken momentarily on the social network. “I love you with all my soul. Your goddaughter loves you madly. I know that you are here by my side and by our family, but you have left us an immense emptiness. I love you my love ”, adds the artist in her message.
Curiously, just before this publication, Larrosa shared another image on his profile just a week ago in which the ex-partner could be seen with several dancers outside the Prado del Rey studios of Spanish Television, after having recorded a performance for the special New Year’s Eve program that will be broadcast on the 31st. In their speech, both interpret the song Bohemiam Rhapsody by Queen, one of the songs included in Marín’s solo album titled Portrait.
It was not uncommon to see images of Marín and Larrosa together on social media. In fact, some of the photos where they appear together are from recent months, sitting on a bench in the street during the recording of their latest album in Madrid or sharing poses before the cameras as happened in August. “Here moment photocall with my best friend and best artistic partner, Carlos Marín ”, the singer said then.
