After announcing his retirement from football a few weeks ago, Andrés Iniesta and his agency Never Say Never (NSN) announced this Thursday that they have become co-owners of FC Helsingor, which plays in Denmark’s third division.
To do this, NSN has partnered with Stoneweg and they have acquired a majority stake. Through this alliance, they state in a statement that they will work with the management of the Danish team “with the aim of achieving the growth of the entity in all areas and promoting the training of young players through the club’s academy.”
This Thursday Iniesta visited the facilities of the blue and white team, located about 40 kilometers north of Copenhagen. The one from Fuentealbilla has met the coaching staff and the players, and this Friday he will attend the match against Ishoj.
In statements to the Danish media, the man from La Mancha highlighted that this is an opportunity to get to know football “in another way” and pointed out that they have taken this step because it is a “very interesting club with very good facilities”: “ “They have a lot of good people around the club and a potential in the city to become an important part of Danish football.”

It should be noted that NSN had been working as a consultant for the entity for a few months. In parallel, there is Spanish representation in the club: it is directed by the Mallorcan coach Pep Alomar, the sports management is in the hands of Quim Ramon and there are players of this nationality.
Helsingor was founded in 2005, the result of the merger of five entities (Helsingor IF, Helsingor FC, Frem Hellebaek IF, Vapnagaard FK72 and Snekkersten IF). In its 19-year history, it reached the highest category (the Super League) in 2017, but they have mostly played in the third division.
