Coronavirus infections grew this Sunday in the Region of Murcia compared to the same day last week. Health registered a total of 123 cases in the last 24 hours, a figure higher than that reported on March 13 (83). Of the total positives, 35 correspond to the municipality of Cartagena, 21 to Murcia, 6 to Lorca, 5 to Águilas, 5 to Molina de Segura, 5 to Torre Pacheco. The rest are spread over various municipalities.
The latest epidemiological balance reveals a decrease in hospital admissions for Covid-19 in the Community since Thursday. There are currently 111 people admitted to health centers in the Region, six fewer, while 16 of them are in the ICU, two fewer. In addition, another 3,403 citizens are in home isolation after testing positive in any of the tests.
The pandemic claimed the life of a person this Sunday. This is an 89-year-old man from health area I (Murcia Oeste). The total number of deaths since the start of the health crisis rises to 2,191. In the Region of Murcia, a total of 385,021 infections have been detected since the virus attacked the Community.
