In March 2021, Coahuila, Michoacán, Nayarit, Morelos, Guanajuato, Nuevo León and Puebla reported the largest increases in industrial activity, reported the National Institute of Statistic and Geography (Inegi).
According to the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by State (IMAIEF), the aforementioned states grew at a monthly rate of 15.9, 12.5, 7.2, 6.5, 6.1, 4.4 and 4.3 percent, respectively.
In their annual comparison, the entities that showed the most significant increases in terms of Real in its industrial production were Aguascalientes, Nayarit, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Coahuila de Zaragoza and Durango, with seasonally adjusted figures.
The Inegi economic indicator also detailed that this second block of aforementioned entities reported an annual upward variation of 24.1, 23.4, 20.0, 18.9, 16.5 and 10.6 percent, respectively.
In detail, in the mining sector there were annual reductions in Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas and Baja California Sur; In the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, supply of water and gas through pipelines to the final consumer, the falls in Guerrero, Yucatán and Campeche stood out.
In terms of construction, the decreases in Tlaxcala, Tamaulipas and Chihuahua, and in the manufacturing industries, the increases at the annual rate stand out in Aguascalientes, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Oaxaca and Baja California, mainly.
