Mexico.- The National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered the 17 governors of Morena to withdraw the statement of support for AMLO for considering it government propaganda during the electoral ban for the Revocation of Mandate.
The INE Complaints and Reports Commission had a virtual session to know the writing of National Action Party complaint (PAN) against the Head of Government of Mexico City and the governors of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Zacatecas, who expressed their endorsement of the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
The PAN requested precautionary measures for the dissemination of government propaganda in a prohibited period, derived from the issuance and publication on social networks, since February 13, of the statement entitled GOVERNORS AND GOVERNORS OF THE 4TH TRANSFORMATION, in support of the President of the Republic In the context of the current Mandate Revocation process, it also requested that preventive protection be issued so that the public servants denounced would refrain from similar conduct in the future.

The Commission of INE dictated the origin of the precautionary measures by noting that, in appearance of good law, it is a concerted action and consented by public servants to disseminate, expressly and preponderantly, achievements and actions of the federal government and who heads it, considered as pgovernment clothing prohibited in the framework of the Revocation of Mandate process in progress.
In a precautionary analysis, the electoral body determined that the document deals with government propaganda that is disseminated in a prohibited period – from February 4, 2022 and until the conclusion of the day that will be verified on April 10 – since the document, In addition to highlighting personal aspects and the way in which the President of Mexico governs, its central and preponderant theme is to point out and disseminate achievements, advances, successes and government activities, for which the precautionary measure is justified.
The Commission concluded that, from a preliminary perspective, the communiqué falls within the category of government propaganda as it is proven that those who sign the document are public servants of the highest level and responsibility in their respective states and by referring to a series of achievements, actions and government measures.
The INE agreed to order the denounced Local Executive Power holders, immediately and within a period that may not exceed three hours, to carry out the actions, procedures and procedures necessary to eliminate the denounced publication from their social networks, as well as to any other electronic or printed platform under its domain, control or administration, to the state owners listed:

As for the preventive protection corresponding to ordering all those involved to refrain from carrying out similar acts, it was declared inadmissible, since they are future events of uncertain realization.

Lastly, the INE Commission asked the public servants of Mexico to refrain from disseminating government propaganda during the period of electoral prohibition due to the revocation of AMLO’s mandate.
