INE How do I locate a special voting booth in another city or state?

If you find yourself in another state on Election Day, Sunday, June 2it is possible for you to exercise your right to vote in special boxes.

The National Electoral Institute (INE) has a tool to locate the special boxes, you only need to enter the website https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/select the state you will be in on election day and then choose ‘special boxes’.

The locations of the special boxes of the state you will be inso you only have to go to the one that is closest or most convenient to you.

Keep in mind that as you would in your state, you will need your voter ID card.

Additionally, it is important to note that you will not be able to vote for all public offices as you would where you live.

He INE explains that if you are in another state but within your constituency, you will be able to vote for deputies and senators by proportional representation, as well as for the presidency of the republic.

If you are outside your constituency but within Mexico, you will be able to vote for the Senate by proportional representation and the Presidency of the Republic.

In the case of being in another city, it depends on whether you are within your electoral district or not.

Electoral districts are an electoral geographic area made up of several federal entities, there are five in the country.
