In the Netherlands, the corona incidence has been falling again for a few days. Even so, the hospitals are getting full due to Covid-19 infections.
Amsterdam – The corona wave in the Netherlands is ebbing. The corona incidence has been falling again for seven days after rising continuously from July 1 to July 20. The infection numbers this week are about 46 percent below those of the previous week, as the Institute for Health and Environment RIVM announced on Tuesday. A total of 37,000 infections were found within the past week. The seven-day incidence is currently around 215 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared with just under 400 in the previous week.
Whether the falling incidence can be explained by assumptions similar to those made by English experts cannot yet be conclusively confirmed. Because while in Great Britain a new Corona variant has appeared, experts explain the falling Covid-19 new infections in the United Kingdom, among other things, by the fact that the number of corona tests has fallen massively.
