In the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine on the night of Tuesday, August 3, an explosion thundered on the roof of a multi-storey building located on Metallurgists Avenue.
By data Regional National Police, over 100 people were evacuated, one rescuer was injured. The building itself has turned into a flaming torch. Presumably, a gas cylinder exploded in the building.
The incident may be related to the repair work that was carried out by the contractor, the law enforcement officials said.
A criminal case was initiated under the article “Violation of fire or technogenic safety requirements.”
Earlier, on August 2, a transformer explosion occurred at the Mingorodok substation in Vladivostok. The fire was localized, specialists from the Far Eastern Distribution Grid Company (DRSK) are working on the spot. At the same time, information on the number of houses remaining with power supply due to the incident is not provided.
