Mountain Eagle: Kentucky Sheriff Shoots Judge to Death in His Own Office
Letcher County Sheriff Mickey Stines is charged with the murder of Judge Kevin Mullins, who was shot to death in his office in Whiteburg, Kentucky. This reports Mountain Eagle edition.
Officials say the sheriff entered Mullins’ office and asked the people gathered there for privacy. Shortly after, gunshots were heard from the office. Stines then came out with his hands up and surrendered to law enforcement.
An investigation has been launched to determine the motive for the crime.
Earlier, in the city of Joppatown in the American state of Maryland, a 16-year-old teenager opened fire at a school. According to law enforcement, students fought in the men’s restroom of the school, as a result of which one of them fired a shot and fled the scene.
