The Ryazan Department of Culture showed a logo with an Orthodox church without crosses
The Ryazan Department of Culture published the logo. Journalist Roman Golovanov drew attention to one detail of the image posted by the government organization in Telegram.
The images represent the domes of an Orthodox church, devoid of crosses. Instead, the domes are crowned with “incomprehensible round pieces,” as the journalist called them.
“Here is the Russian city of Ryazan. It turned out to be multinational and tolerant,” Golovanov wrote.
For publication reacted State Duma deputy Mikhail Matveev. He wondered why designers who are not satisfied with crosses use the silhouettes of Orthodox churches. The case in Ryazan is not the first in a series of similar ones, the parliamentarian recalled.
In the summer, another case of “crossfall” was identified in Astrakhan, where the wall of one of the buildings of a local university was decorated with images of students of different races and the Assumption Cathedral, on which there are no crosses.
