Zayed International Airport organized an artistic presentation of the series “Happy Journey” and “I Met a Traveler from the Land of Treasures,” to be part of the collection of artistic works displayed at the newly opened airport, after they were reviewed at the airport by Sheikha Fakhriya bint Diab bin Saif Al Nahyan, in the presence of the artist. Sheikha Fakhriya bint Dhiyab bin Saif Al Nahyan reviewed the artwork at the airport and received a certificate of appreciation from Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, on behalf of Sheikha Al Yazia bint Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
The event began with an opening speech in the presence of Elena Sorlini and Sherine Al Maskari, Director of Protocol and Ceremonies, and the program included a tour of Zayed International Airport.
It is noteworthy that the “Happy Journey” collection is an artistic mixture inspired by famous international paintings in airline advertisements, and Sheikha Al-Yazia bint Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan added artistic touches to it to embark on a qualitative artistic journey. These plastic works are an experience that shows the extent of interaction with art, and the “Happy Journey” group was previously displayed in a personal exhibition organized at the “House Arabe” in Madrid.
The group of works on display includes an artwork designed from marble in the shape of cave openings and entrances, carrying a message explaining that search trips are usually to trace the traces of treasure or knowledge, and that most of the signs on maps mislead searchers and lead them to empty caves, but “the real treasure” (a design that combines… Among ancient oriental coins) it appears to be buried under marble, far from misleading points.
“I Met a Traveler from the Land of Treasures” was displayed at the “B Art Work” exhibition in London, United Kingdom, and the “Happy Journey” and “I Met a Traveler from the Land of Treasures” collections were displayed at the “Contemporary Inscriptions” exhibition at the Sinnari House (affiliated with the Library of Alexandria). ), which is a historical landmark in the Sayyida Zeinab neighborhood in Cairo.
