The recommendations developed by Rospotrebnadzor in 2020 proved to be effective and allowed schools to work in full-time mode, as well as to avoid outbreaks of the disease, the press service of the department told Izvestia.
“In this regard, these measures can be applied in the new academic year,” said Rospotrebnadzor.
These recommendations provide for the minimization of contacts between children within the school. Each class is assigned a permanent study room for lessons, the schedule for visiting the dining room is detailed, the employees of which must use personal protective equipment. For evening and extra classes, it is forbidden to form groups of students from different classes. Outdoor sports activities are not permitted. Temperatures are measured daily for children and school workers, sanitary facilities should be equipped with antiseptics and soap, and all rooms should be regularly disinfected. If a student has signs of SARS, they should be quarantined immediately. Rospotrebnadzor also recommended, if possible, to reduce the number of schoolchildren in one class.
According to Izvestia’s information received from the regional ministries of health, at least 27 subjects of the federation can open the academic year in the traditional format (in the last academic year, high school students were transferred to distance learning in a number of regions).
