The People’s Militia (NM) of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) reported the seizure of NATO-style weapons as trophies. This is reported RIA News.
It is noted that NATO-style small arms were captured at the positions of Ukrainian militants during a Russian special operation on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Among the captured samples are a German submachine gun model MP-5, developed by Heckler & Koch, presumably of Turkish production, as well as a copy of the Israeli Negev machine gun, produced under license in Ukraine at the Fort plant.
Earlier it was reported that LPR units captured the first American M777 howitzer in Donbass, nicknamed “three axes” among the military. The howitzer was used to shell Stakhanov, Pervomaisky and other settlements of the LPR. The military noted that they managed to detect the gun thanks to aerial reconnaissance.
