To date, 104 Ukrainian soldiers have laid down their arms. This number was named by the deputy head of the People’s Militia Department of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Eduard Basurin, reports RIA News on Sunday, March 6th.
He noted that they all went over to the side of the DNR. In addition, 11 fighters are receiving medical assistance.
Earlier, Basurin said that Ukraine refused to guarantee the observance of the regime of silence in Volnovakha and Mariupol.
He explained that there were guards around the perimeter of the house blown up on March 5 in Mariupol.
On February 24, Russia launched a military special operation to protect Donbass. During it, the Russian authorities “will strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said. Prior to this, the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR) complained to the Russian leader about living conditions.
