Earlier, Gunzburg announced the completion of post-registration studies of “Sputnik V”. The head of the Gamaleya center clarified that at the moment documents have been submitted for permanent registration of the drug. “They are now being considered,” he added. It is noted that “Sputnik V” was registered in Russia “on conditions”: after registration it was necessary to conduct a clinical study.
Currently “Sputnik V” is registered in 70 countries, the total population of which is about 4 billion people. The drug is manufactured by more than 20 companies in 14 countries around the world. In Russia, the vaccine efficiency of the Gamaleya Center was 97.6 percent. The drug was 83.1 percent effective against the delta strain.
