SK: official Sharipov was detained in a St. Petersburg cafe for a bribe of over ₽20 million
In St. Petersburg, employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and the police detained 34-year-old Maxim Sharipov, deputy chairman of the city investment committee, in a cafe; he is suspected of receiving a bribe in the amount of over 20 million rubles. This was reported by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the city in Telegram-channel.
According to investigators, in 2023, the official received 23.5 million rubles from a representative of a commercial company for assistance in concluding lease agreements for three land plots without holding a tender. In this case, the money was transferred to Sharipov through an intermediary.
Then the defendant decided to replace one of the plots with two others and demanded, through an intermediary, from a representative of commercial organizations to pay an additional 2.5 million rubles. But he filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies.
On Friday, October 4, in a cafe on Degtyarny Lane, Sharipov received 1.5 million rubles from an intermediary. Moreover, the money partially consisted of a dummy. At that moment he was detained. The issue of filing charges and choosing a preventive measure is being decided.
Earlier in Moscow, two lawyers were detained on suspicion of receiving a multimillion-dollar bribe. We are talking about a bribe, the amount of which is over 30 million rubles. The suspects face up to 15 years in prison.
Prior to this, the ex-deputy head of Moscow tax inspectorate number 9, Evgeny Tsoi, was accused of 24 counts of taking a bribe. The man is accused of 15 crimes under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and nine crimes under Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, law enforcement officers detained the former first deputy chairman of the Moscow region government, Ilya Bronstein, on suspicion of receiving 25 million rubles as a bribe.
