In Siberia, three Russian prisoners refused to return to their cells and attacked police officers – this happened in the courtyard of a temporary detention facility (IVS) in Nyagan (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug). About this on Friday, October 15, “Lente.ru” was told in the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to preliminary reports, three inmates were on the territory of the detention facility’s exercise yard when police officers ordered them to return to their cells. Then the prisoners resisted the police, started hitting and insulting them.
The reason for this behavior was that one of the prisoners had been refused to change the detention cell the day before. After the incident, a criminal case was initiated against the prisoners under article 318 (“Use of violence against a government official”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
