The Russian invasion in Ukraine has already caused the first deaths, according to Ukrainian sourceswhile Moscow assures that it does not attack cities and that there is no threat to the peaceful population.
Preliminary figures from Ukrainian sources indicate that the invasion has left around 100 dead, including Russian and Ukrainian soldiers and some civilians.
In addition, the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security of Ukraine assured that its Army recaptured the city of Shchastia in the Lugansk region, and annihilated fifty Russian soldiers.

“Shchastia was recovered after the attack by the Russian aggressor. During the attempted attack, enemy equipment was destroyed and about 50 enemies were killed, the entity announced on its Facebook account.
For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense assured that the country’s Armed Forces are not attacking Ukrainian cities in the course of the “special military operation” launched by President Vladimir Putin.
“The Russian Armed Forces do not attack cities in Ukraine. There is no threat to the peaceful population,” Defense said in a statement.
The Russian military indicated that high-precision weapons are used against military infrastructure, anti-aircraft batteries and Ukrainian air bases.
Meanwhile, hundreds of citizens try to stock up on gasoline so they can evacuate their cities in search of refuge.
In this sense, Poland, together with others from Eastern and Central Europe, expressed its intention to prepare reception plans in the event of the possible arrival of refugees from Ukraine due to the declared war in that country.
In Warsaw, the spokesman for the Polish government, Piotr Müller, assured that “if refugees from Ukraine arrive in Poland” they will be welcomed, since “preparations have been carried out” for this situation.

Müller stressed that “in situations of armed conflict there may be displacement of people, not only internally, (but) also to neighboring countries”, and recalled that His government “recently” launched a plan to “provide humanitarian aid” to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Polish Red Cross announced that it is finalizing preparations to set up eight reception points for refugees in the eastern Polish provinces.
