Data for Monday 6 December. The positivity rate was 3.1% with 301,560 swabs. Admissions: +282. Intensive care: +7
I am 9.503
the new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday there were 15,021, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 5,118,576
the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m ninety two
(yesterday there were 43), for a total of 134,287 victims from February 2020.
People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4,748,454 And 5,567 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (6,685 yesterday). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in all 235,835, equal to +3.835 compared to yesterday (+8,282 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 301.560, or 223,548 less than yesterday when it was 525,108. While the positivity rate rises to 3.1% (the approximation of 3.151%); yesterday it was 2.9%. Recall that the case-to-test ratio always grows when less analysis is done because on the weekend / holiday there is a tendency to test people who have symptoms or have been in contact with positives. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday. It happens every Monday due to fewer tampons (they are those processed on Sunday). From the comparison with last Monday (November 29) – the same day of the week – when they were recorded +7.975 cases with a rate of 2.9%, it is observed that the trend remains on the rise: today, in fact, there are more new infections than that day, with a higher percentage (3.1% versus 2.9%).
The health system
The increase in hospitalizations continues in every area. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m +282 (yesterday +169), for a total of 5,879 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (TI) are +7 (yesterday +4) – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered ICU -, bringing the total of the most seriously ill patients to 743, with 45 admissions to resuscitation (yesterday 45).
