Ghana is one of the last countries in the world that still has camps for “witches”. Some 300 women falsely accused of witchcraft are spread across five camps throughout the country. Shunned by society, they often live in inhumane conditions. Some people accuse a woman of witchcraft to avoid paying a debt or when a relationship fails. However, several NGOs are trying to reintegrate these women in their old villages. A report from our France 2 colleagues, with France 24’s Wassim Cornet.
