Independent: the meeting between Zelensky and Starmer did not change London’s position on strikes
Negotiations between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about allowing Kyiv to launch attacks with British Storm Shadow missiles deep into Russian territory did not yield results. The publication reports this The Independent.
According to a representative of the British Prime Minister’s office, London’s position on this issue has not changed. He stressed that politicians agreed that Kyiv needed to ensure the “best possible position” before the onset of winter.
“Prime Minister’s Representative [Стармера] stated that the position on Storm Shadow missiles has not changed, despite the meeting with Zelensky,” the message states.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron promised Vladimir Zelensky to continue to provide military and diplomatic assistance to Ukraine. According to him, Paris is ready to once again confirm its support for Kyiv and its “resistance.”
